SUCCESSFUL PROJECT AND TEAMWORK CELEBRATED BY RIBBON CUTTING CEREMONY

It was a special afternoon celebrating the success of the Chaparral Pines Lift Station No. 3 rehabilitation project in a ribbon cutting ceremony organized by Green Valley Water.  The ribbon cutting honors were performed by Green Valley Chairperson Shirley Dye and Director Garret Goldman.

Director Garrett Goldman addressed the event attendees, providing an overview of the importance of this lift station and the technical advancements of the design.  Mr. Goldman recognized the team effort that made this project success, from the engineering services provided by Valentine and our electrical subconsultant, Automation Electric, to the construction services provided by Hunter Contracting Co., and the oversight and management by Green Valley Water.  This project is a testimonial to the impact of a collaborative team effort – “when a team is moving forward together, then success takes care of itself” – Henry Ford.

Valentine provided concept design, detailed design, bid phase service and construction phase services for this project.  This project involved replacing the existing rectangular wetwells with package surface sewage pumps with a new circular wetwell with submersible pumps and pump building housing pump discharge piping.  Construction sequencing was required to maintain existing station in service while new lift station and new piping was tied into existing piping.  In addition coordination of electrical supply was provided to provide for tie over of electrical service to new electrical line up and existing standby generator.
