Valentine evaluated several alternatives at this 5 MGD plant for upgrades to anoxic zone channel mixing, diffused process aeration and process blowers.  The existing plant was equipped with coarse bubble aeration for the anoxic channel, fine bubble diffusers for the treatment basins and centrifugal blowers for process air supply.

We evaluated energy efficient technologies and compared the 25 year net present worth costs to the current conditions.  After thorough review of alternative technologies, Valentine moved forward with the design of the preferred alternative. 

Valentine designed the pulsed aeration technology for the anoxic channel, ultrafine diffusers for the treatment basins with air drops equipped with iris type control valves and flow meters, new turbo blowers and blower building structural upgrades.  We provided permit acquisition oversight and assistance, construction administration and project close out services.
