Project Overview

Chaparral Pines Lift Station No. 3, located in Payson, AZ, consists of replacing two existing rectangular wet well vaults with a new circular pre-cast concrete polymer wet well housing triplex submersible pump system.  This lift station also includes a pre-fabricated metal building with work station crane to house all above grade piping.  The project involved extensive coordination with the equipment manufacturers to obtain optimal selections for the submersible pumps, wet well and fillet layout, and pre-fabricated building and crane.  The design accommodates future flows and as such the wet well volume and space in the building considers access and space for maintenance.  Valentine assisted the Contractor in permitting with Gila County to address comments on the design plans.  Valentine developed a design report, design plans, technical specifications and construction cost estimates.  Valentine prepared the bid package for Green Valley Water, tabulated the bid results and made a recommendation for award.  Valentine is currently in the final stages of construction administration, and has reviewed submittals, shop drawings, contractor pay applications, requests for contract time extensions, and will be performing punch list site visit to begin the project close-out process
